Relive a selection of the Glyptotek’s past exhibitions. We have handpicked highlights that touched, challenged, and inspired

Kai Nielsen - Born of Everyday Life / Special Exhibition / 30.05.2024 - 05.01.2025
You have probably already met The Water Mother, who welcomes visitors to the Glyptotek from her pool in the Winter Garden.
The Danish sculptor Kai Nielsen (1882-1924) created the work specially for the Glyptotek. Nielsen’s works will form the focal point for a collaborative exhibition project involving Faaborg Museum and the Glyptotek – two special exhibitions, which ran in parallel at the two museums.

In collaboration with Copenhagen Contemporary, the Glyptotek presented the exhibition The song is the call, and the land is calling with work by the Palestinian artist duo Basel Abbas and Ruanne Abou-Rahme.

“Nature no longer exists. That wild, untamed nature, untouched by human beings, is a thing of the past.” -Josefine Klougart
After Nature – A New Reading of the Glyptotek’s Paintings by Writer Josefine Klougart / Special exhibition / 12.10.2023 - 18.08.2024
An exhibition where the author Josefine Klougart's texts interacted with the Glyptotek’s landscape paintings. The sensuous design of the exhibition was the work of the set designer duo Vang Stensgaard.
In After Nature Josefine Klougart used the prism of art to study the relationship of humans with nature. Nature as we knew it no longer exists.
